Fall 2017Believe it or not, this is the future site of our vineyard. It doesn't look like much now, but this gentle sloping, east facing hillside is the perfect location. Middle-Tennessee summer days can be too hot for ideal grape production, but the east facing slope provides adequate shade in the late-afternoons. The gentle slope allows for adequate drainage during summer rains that can wreak havoc on grape development. This combination is the first step to creating ideal growing conditions for our future vineyard. |
